Right Stuff Mathematics Material
The talent quest is organized into three levels
Level 1: Classes 5 to 7
Level 2: Classes 8 to 10
Level 3: Classes 11 and 12
Each team must consist of two friends of the same level, and both members should attend the talent quest together.
Ensure a stable network connection throughout the competition.
Instructions
Mode of Talent Quest – Online
Mode of communication – English
The competition will consist of two rounds: Preliminary and Final.
Preliminary Round
- The preliminary round will be conducted via a Google Form.
- A Google Form containing various questions will be sent to all participants.
- Participants must submit their completed forms within the allotted time.
- Selection for the Final Round will be based entirely on the scores obtained in the Preliminary Round.
Final Round
- Five teams from each level, selected from the Preliminary Round, will advance to the Final Round.
- The Final Round will be conducted via Google Meet.
- Participants must keep their cameras on throughout the meeting.
- Both participants should sit side by side, with their faces clearly visible.
- The room occupied by the participants must be free of other people.
- Participants may use pen and paper for calculations if necessary.
- Each question will have a time limit. Answers submitted after the time limit will not be accepted.
- The decision of the judging panel is final
Detailed Question Patterns for Each Round
Preliminary Round

- Format: Conducted via Google Form
- Number of Questions: 40
- Time Limit :15 minutes
- Points per Question: 2
- Options: Each question has 4 options, with only one correct answer.
- Negative Marking: None
- Each level of the competition requires a minimum of 5 teams to proceed. If we receive fewer than five team registrations for any level, that level of the quiz will be canceled.
- Question Distribution:
- Mental ability and reasoning: 10 questions
- Arithmetic and numerical ability: 10 questions
- General Awareness and Current Affairs: 10 questions
- Science and technologies: 10 questions
Final Round
- Format: Conducted via Google Meet
- Number of Rounds: 4
Round 1 – Mathematics and Logical Reasoning
- Questions: 4 questions per team
- Points: 3 points for each correct answer
- Negative Marking: -2 points for each wrong answer; no points for unanswered questions
- Passing Questions: Teams may pass questions to the next team. If the next team answers correctly, they receive 2 points. The passed team faces the same negative marking if the passed question is answered incorrectly.
Round 2 – Picture Round
- Format: Identify the picture
- Questions: 5 questions, asked consecutively to a team
- Points: 3 points for each correct answer
- Negative Marking: -2 points for each wrong answer; no negative marking for unanswered questions
- Passing Questions: Not allowed
Round 3 – Memory Round / Analyzing Graphs
- Format: Graphs or images will be shown for 2 minutes. Teams will then answer 5 questions based on the visual material.
- Points: 5 points for each correct answer; 3 points deducted for each incorrect answer
- Answer Time: 30 seconds per question
Round 4 – Rapid Fire
- Format: Teams answer as many questions as possible within 1 minute
- Points: 2 points for each correct answer
- Negative Marking: None
- Question Handling: Only one answer per question is allowed, whether correct or incorrect. Teams can ask the moderator to pass on a question if they do not know the answer.
- Question Types: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Science, History, etc.
- Bonus Points: Teams that answer at least 10 questions correctly within the time limit without passing any questions will receive a 50-point bonus.
Note: All questions and instructions will be communicated clearly before the rounds commence.
